Later in April, in the Gardens
Gardening brings a daily set of tasks in spring. Irrigation needs to be repaired and adjusted. Perennials and small shrubs are divided and transplanted. Debris is cleaned up and bagged for recycling. The greens garden is planted. Any final pruning is done. Retaining walls and rockeries are overhauled, as needed (a big one this spring). Plants are potted up and placed for spring care before planting. Painting of fences is part of this year’s tasks. Landscaping is an ongoing project.
In spite of all of this, I am getting out in the garden to putter about too, and enjoying seeing emerging flowers and new growth in shrubs and perennials. Each day I take some photos and share them about twice a month.
The photos are shared in a slideshow on Google Photos:
Scientific names for these plants can be provided on request.
