UBC Botanical Gardens
When we travel, we try to visit botanical gardens and take the time to observe, enjoy, and photograph flowering plants. Whenever we visit the west side of Vancouver, we walk the trails in the UBC Botanical Gardens. It is the oldest botanical garden in Canada, established in 1916. The original mission was to feature native plants, but over the years the garden has expanded to include temperate plants from all over the world.
This visit was in April and we took a couple of hours to tour and take photos, mostly of plants flowering at that time of the year. Some of those photos are shared here as an embedded Google Photos album. Additional information (including captions/IDs) can be found by going to the online album – UBC Botanical Gardens (1).
