Following up last week’s activity, there was more work on the greenhouse, the shed, and end-of-the-year cleanup, but also:

• Finishing seed collection, winnowing, storage, and labelling.
• Running more waste material to recycling or the compost.
• Moving blocks for early spring projects (retaining walls, stairs, rockery borders).
• Cleaning out frost-nipped annuals.
• Pruning perennials and adding a mulch layer for winter protection.
• Cleaning and storing garden tools and readying winter tools and materials.
• Raking and collecting leaves for winter mulch protection of shrubs and perennials.
• Collecting pine needles, cones, and prunings for recycle pickups or drop-offs.
